Skepp, based in the Netherlands, provides services to its website visitors, (former) customers, and other (natural) persons who have contacted it. Skepp's services include designing and supplying dynamic office environments to business clients and other services as described on the website and in the general terms and conditions. In the context of these services ('Services'), Skepp processes personal data.

  • Registration and verification/authentication of users of our Services;
  • Entering into and executing an insurance/guarantee;
  • Handling of warranty claims and complaints;
  • Coordinating product safety recall actions;
  • Collecting feedback for quality improvement;
  • Logistics of delivery and installation of office furniture;
  • Communication with you;
  • Preparation and sending of invoices;
  • Sending updates & newsletters by email;
  • Analysis of statistics and optimization of the Services.

Your personal data is only processed if necessary for the execution of the contract in which you have commissioned Skepp or based on your consent, which can be withdrawn at any time. Additionally, Skepp may also process your personal data if it has a legitimate interest and does not disproportionately infringe on your privacy.

How is your personal data handled?

Skepp ensures that your personal data is protected against loss, unlawful processing, or misuse. It has taken the following technical and organizational measures, among others:

How long is your personal data stored?

Skepp carefully ensures that all your data are securely stored and protected. It does not store your data longer than is necessary for the purpose for which these data are processed. For example, your personal data are stored as long as you use the Services. Skepp adheres to legal retention periods unless there is a valid reason to deviate, such as: warranties and recall actions to guarantee the quality of our products and services, legal disputes and compliance requirements that necessitate longer retention, archiving purposes for historical or statistical research where anonymization of data is not possible.

Is your personal data shared with third parties?

In principle, your personal data is not shared with third parties without your consent. However, it may sometimes be necessary to share your personal data with third parties. For example, it may be necessary to share your personal data with judicial authorities or with a counterparty. Skepp does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that could have (significant) consequences for individuals. This refers to decisions made by computer programs or systems, without a human (e.g., an employee of Skepp) involved.

Skepp uses functional, analytical, and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet, or smartphone during the first visit to this website. Viewing or modifying your personal data?

Do you want to know what personal data Skepp has recorded about you? You can request an overview of the personal data that Skepp has processed or is processing about you. If you believe that your personal data has been processed incorrectly or incompletely, or you find it unnecessary for certain personal data to be processed, you can submit a request for modification, supplementation, or deletion to Skepp. Additionally, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and have the right to data portability. You also have the right to withdraw any given consent for the processing of your personal data. This could be applicable, for example, in the case of receiving a newsletter.

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, Skepp asks you to send a copy of your identification document along with the request. In this copy, please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) for the protection of your privacy. If you send such a request to Skepp, it will provide you with information about the actions it has taken as soon as possible, but in any case within 4 (four) weeks of receiving your request.

Complaints
